In 2016, after decades of a very busy professional life  as specialized veterinary surgeon, I could finally return to the favorite hobby of my youth, drawing and painting.

Since then I am striving to develop my skills by attending workshops and classes at the highly renowned Scottsdale Artists’ School in Arizona, USA (www.scottsdaleartschool.org), and with well-known Austrian Artists.
‍
The steady exchange with those teachers and with peers in my Austrian as well as American art community is an additional and very important source of inspiration and improvement.

Currently, I am a member of the group VetArt (www.vetart-kunstforum.at) and the “Kulturvernetzung Niederösterreich” (www.kulturvernetzung.at) in Austria and the Portrait Society of America (www.portraitsociety.org) and the Terravita Art League (www.terravitaartleague.org) in the United States.

My preferred technique is oil painting. Besides that, I also appreciate painting with pastels and gouache and drawing with pencils, red chalk and charcoal.
